Terra Design Lab is a fresh design studio that offers creative, one-off Residential and
Commercial design with a focus on sustainability.
Using local, natural, low waste materials, Terra Design Lab specialises in solar passive design solutions which appreciate
traditional techniques as well as innovative technologies, with the aim of achieving high energy performance and well-being of living.
As well as involving the owner is all aspects of the project Terra Design Lab offers training workshops where owners and the general public can directly participate in, and learn the work of sustainable construction.
Our Studio
Director Manuela Graduated at Florence University in 2005 and has since worked as an architect for several high profile firms in Italy, Spain and Australia before founding Terra Design Lab. Manuela believes that designers and architects have a responsibility to create beautiful, comfortable and functional spaces that the planet can afford.
Environmental Designer Graduated at Bologna University in 2004, Francesco's strong passion for environment led him to deepening matters like renewable energy and energy savings in building, heating, ventilation and cooling system efficiency, Alternative Energy Production, Sustainable Building Materials and Waste Management.
